It seems like every time a govt official that is being looked at for a position in the Obama administration has”tax issues” Perhaps we could lower our country’s deficit by auditing every member of the house and senate.Republican, Democrat, Independent.I bet there’s millions of dollars in our representatives pockets that should have been paid to the IRS.Can’t something be done?

Obama has required that members of his staff undergo line-by-line audits of their tax returns for the prior 6 years. I’d venture to say that NO taxpayer could escape from one of those unscathed if their tax returns included anything but W-2 wages and the standard deduction.

Most taxpayers never undergo a Taxpayer Compliance Audit. Imagine having to go through 6 years worth all at once. YOU would be stuck with a tax bill too!

Don’t look for “Turbo Tax” Tim Geitner to do it…but he is theoretically in the position to do it.
