What happens when the state issues a tax warrant on you?
eaj174 asked:
I have a friend who has just had a tax warrant filed against her for and she wants to know what they can do to her. She is going to pay but they have “estimated” her sales tax for a newspaper route way over what it should be. She is working now and will pay but the state had to go ahead and file the warrant. She has nothing in her name and is a single mom also.

Since it is an estiamted tax, the first thing to do is to submit the information to show the correct amount. The state will then adjust your amount owed and once paid, will release the warant.
