You pay tax on your profits, after deductions for business expenses, capital allowances etc.
You pay these taxes, and NICs, twice yearly in Jan and July.
Legal issues include personal liability for debts, including all business matters which aren’t covered by insurance (product liability etc).
No unemployment benefits, no holiday pay etc………….but you’re your own boss.
