do i have to file city income tax for chicago?

I do not own a house or business either. Just wondering how the tax system works out here and whether federal and state is all I am required to file for.

There is no city income tax in Chicago. I am in Illinois (a suburb), used to live in Chicago (a long time ago), worked there (more recently), and my son works there now. No city income tax.

I moved to Texas, and now I almost have forgotten her!There’s only a handful of US cities that tax income. Chicago isn’t one of them.
